This is a fantastic opportunity for a Qualified Accountant who is seeking a professional environment, with a defined route to Management.
Your new role
You will be helping to plan and carrying out audit fieldwork, statutory reporting and completion, along with general accounting compliance work. Preparing financial statements, ensuring they are compliant with relevant accounting standards, whilst on occasion training others.
- Working knowledge of UK GAAP (including FRS 102) and International Auditing.
- Achieving department and individual performance objectives.
- Managing administration of client, including budgets, WIP and timely billing.
- Maintaining the highest technical and professional standards. Thinking strategically about client needs by understanding their business and key risks.
- Providing additional help and guidance to clients on a consultancy basis.
- Delivering results and managing client expectations.
- Identifying ways to maximize the relationship with clients and deliver added value.
- Monitoring staff working on the portfolio.
- Supervising and coach, train and develop staff to develop their knowledge
- A role model for department professionals. Career progression through continuous professional development.
- The Accounts and Audit Senior needs to demonstrate a working knowledge of automated accountancy packages, including; Sage, Xero and CCH products. Working knowledge if Iris.
- You will liaise with clients so exceptional communication skills are essential, with advanced IT skills and project management abilities are an advantage.
What you'll need to succeed
- You need to possess a full UK drivers licence and have access to your own vehicle.
- Experience Level - Newly qualified (if you have pre-qualification experience) individuals to Senior Manager
