Here at The Owl Centre, we offer a range of face-to-face and online therapy and assessment services nationwide. Our main areas of expertise include Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, ASD (Autism) Assessments and ADHD Assessments. We are experiencing high demand for our services and have seen significant growth year on year as a result.

**The Role**

We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Head of People to lead our growing business by supporting its most valuable asset; its people. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead our Human Resource, Recruitment and Retention functions, developing and implementing workforce strategies. You will offer high-level support to our clinical and commercial teams throughout the business, will maintain high standards and enhance our reputation as one of the best employers in the industry

You'll work mainly from the office (CF23 area), with flexibility to work from home 1-2 days a week.

As part of the team, you'll receive a salary of £60,000 - £70,000 per year (depending on experience), as well as opportunity to achieve a performance-based bonus.
- CIPD qualification (Level 5 or 7)
- 5 years' generalist HR experience at a senior level (e.g. leading on HR within a small-medium sized organisation)
- Experience developing, implementing and embedding people-focused strategies to deliver organisational goals, including oversight of recruitment, retention, staff development, performance management and employee relations.
- Significant experience of driving a performance culture and developing high performing leaders, employees and teams at all levels.
- Proven capability of operating as a trusted advisor to the CEO and/or senior leadership team.

**Your key goals will be to**:

- Identify and implement a robust 360 performance management system
- Develop and implement a competitive enhanced benefits package to drive employee engagement and wellbeing
- Create a comprehensive training programme for all staff across the business
- Work with Talent to implement an Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring consistency across the business

**You will be responsible for**:

- Overseeing all HR activity throughout the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, contracts, staff handbook and policies, processes, systems, absence management, exit interviews etc.
- Developing and implementing strategic initiatives across the People team that align with the business' goals.
- Establishing, auditing and streamlining HR processes to improve efficiency across the business.
- Embedding appropriate and effective performance management processes into the business, ensuring expectations of all staff are clearly communicated at all levels.
- Collaborating with the CEO to develop a robust People strategy as part of the business' key 2028 initiatives.
- Collaborating with Talent on resource management, workforce planning and ensuring safer recruitment procedures are upheld.
- Supporting the development of our workforce through identifying opportunities for employee training and growth within the business.
- Leading on the development and delivery of programmes to improve and enhance management and leadership capabilities across the organisation.
- Creating a supportive virtual work environment where colleagues can thrive professionally and personally.
- Collaborating with the Service Leads to implement effective onboarding strategies for new starters.

**Salary**: £60,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
