Duties:

  • Work within the hospital setting and required to partake in the duty rota, selected duty days approx. 1-2x per week
  • Complete Care Act assessments within a fast paced setting with case turnover averaging 3x days
  • Undertake hospital based safeguarding enquiries
  • Support and undertake capacity assessments and Best Interest Meetings

Requirements of the Social Worker/AMHP:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work
  • Current Social Work England registration
  • Must have previous hospital social work experience, preferred 2 years and a knowledge of the complexities of hospital social work
  • Preferred mental health experience as would like the candidate to be a qualified AMHP (although not essential) if an AMHP, you will be added to the AMHP rota 1x day per week
