Job Title: Equipment EngineerCompany: AESCOutline and Responsibilities:
  • Work on delivering and maintaining the UK's first 'at scale Gigafactory' as part of the core project team.
  • Manage process and plant equipment, supporting production, QA, and maintenance functions.
  • Represent the engineering department throughout all phases, from project initiation to Gigafactory production.
  • Contribute to the establishment of a manufacturing zone within a diverse team.
  • Ensure equipment safety and compliance at all stages, collaborating with suppliers and attending design reviews.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

  • Inter-communication, report writing, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, and other computing tools.
  • Logical thinking, positive attitude, and strong project management abilities.
  • Capacity to adapt to new technologies rapidly.
  • Technical degree or certificate in an electrical discipline.
  • Experience with refurbishment strategies and procurement processes.

Additional:

  • Ability to drive innovation in manufacturing processes and manage contractor relationships.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Desire for continuous personal growth and development.

Specific Technical Skills:

  • Electrical expertise with mechanical knowledge.
  • Familiarity with machinery standards and some PLC/systems knowledge.
  • Experience in technical manufacturing processes and high-volume production.
  • Previous work in cleanroom environments and knowledge of machinery legislation.
  • Background in APQP and IAFT frameworks.
