Job Description

Job Title: Heavy Equipment Engineer - Piling Equipment Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Engineer to join our team at Human Engineering. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of heavy equipment, including piling equipment, excavators, crawler cranes, and mining equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, implementing timely and effective solutions.
  • Conduct thorough examinations of components to identify potential defects or deficiencies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to schedule and execute service activities, minimizing downtime and maximizing uptime.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to customers and onsite personnel, ensuring proper operation and maintenance practices.
  • Accurately record service activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and equipment documentation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Engineering discipline.
  • Experience working with heavy equipment in a field service capacity.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems on heavy equipment.
  • Certifications or tickets related to site machinery maintenance (e.g., CPCS, NPORS, IPAF).
  • Demonstrated diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with clients and team members effectively.
  • Driver's license and willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
