We're looking for an experienced Facilities Co-ordinator to join the Facilities team.

For us, facilities management is not a back-office function, y ou'll be out and about, inspecting our property and keeping on top of our systems.

As part of the facilities team, you'll report into the Facilities Manager, with the ability to deputise for them when required.

You will supervise a small team of Facilities Assistants and volunteers, who support the facilities function. This would include setting tasks, organising rotas and the day-to-day supervision of the team and contractors.

Importantly, you'd work with a diverse team across the business, to help deliver all aspects of facilities management across our property, making sure we are safe and compliant.

What it's like to work here:The Lanhydrock estate comprises a grade 1 listed mansion set in a 25 acre garden and surrounded by 910 acres of countryside.

The property is presented today at its late Victorian zenith when it was the home of Thomas, 2nd Lord Robartes, his wife Mary and their large family who were looked after by a staff of 80.

The property offers a fascinating insight into the workings of a country estate, both above and below stairs.

In 2014 the outdoor offer was expanded to include 14km of off-road cycle trails, skills area and a cycle hire business.

The cycle hire runs year-round (every day except 25 Dec) and as such the post-holder is expected to work weekends and bank holidays on a rotational basis.

The property welcomes around 500,000 visitors a year to its wider estate and 40,000 users to the trails.

What you'll be doing:

Based at Lanhydrock, you will have the chance to work in a beautiful and historic setting, whilst contributing to the care of the place for future generations.

You will be responsible for delivering an efficient and effective facilities management service across the property, helping support the smooth and safe running of the property.

You will support the team to ensure our fire, environmental, health & safety and security compliance is first rate, helping to make sure we plan well for emergencies.

Alongside the Facilities Manager, you'll working closely with our building surveyor, estate manager and property teams and consultancy advisers, in addition to commissioning and overseeing contractors.

The role also assists in our efforts to reduce our environmental footprint, so by monitoring and analysing our energy and water use, you'll help deliver a reduction in energy consumption.
