Electro Mechanical Apprentices

Our Electro-Mechanical Apprentices will develop both practical and academic understanding and basic knowledge of engineering through their apprenticeship.

The training program is designed to enable apprentices to learn the underpinning knowledge and skills required for a range of Electro-Mechanical engineering roles across Tharsus.

Forming an integral element of workforce succession planning and future business growth.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Successfully complete the Apprenticeship Scheme, to include all elements of the Advanced Apprenticeship Framework relevant to the chosen engineering discipline and to develop within their own Apprenticeship Development Plan.
  • To learn the principles of engineering both academic and practical.
  • To attend all classroom and workshopbased training.
  • To become familiar with processes and procedures in each area on the shopfloor
  • To work competently and safely in order to develop necessary engineering technical skills and knowledge, functional skill and behaviours to become deemed competent as an engineer.

Requirements:

  • GCSE or equivalent English & Maths (Grade 94 or A*C) Essential
  • GCSE or equivalent Science (Grade 94 or A*C) Desired
  • Have an underlying interest in Electronics, Computers, Science or Engineering

Core Competencies & Skills:

  • Demonstrate a passion for engineering.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Proactive, highly motivated, and keen to develop new skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks.
