Senior/Principal Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior/Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to join our R&D team in the North East. Our client is a leading manufacturer of complex electro-mechanical products and is investing heavily in R&D/product design.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop moving parts and mechanisms for our products.
  • Take design projects from concept to manufacture, ensuring seamless integration with our production processes.
  • Apply innovation and creativity to product design, working on new and exciting projects.
  • Utilize modern 3D CAD packages to create accurate and efficient designs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design, with experience in taking projects from concept to manufacture. They will be proficient in modern 3D CAD packages and have a good understanding of designing moving parts and mechanisms. Our client is open to the experience level of this person but is likely to go for someone with several years of commercial mechanical design experience.

This is a Senior, Principal, or Lead engineering role, with a salary band of £50k to £70k basic range + excellent benefits package. There are opportunities to progress in this role into chief engineer or management roles depending on how you see your career developing.
