Are you a generalist HR Manager looking for your next opportunity?


Transparent is proud to support this reputable business that sits within the leisure sector, in the recruitment of this key position.


Overseeing a small team of 2, you will be a confident and highly credible HR Manager with the ability to influence at every level of the business.

A proactive problem solver, you will be used to managing a small team and enjoy working autonomously.


You will also be highly numerate and have experience of using HR data and statistics to produce regular management reports.


Duties to include:

  • Reviewing and implementing HR strategies, policies and procedures in line with employment law, and supporting the overall business strategy
  • Advising managers on a wide range of HR topics to include employee relations, performance management, absence management, etc.
  • Overseeing performance reviews
  • Managing remuneration and benefits
  • Managing new starters and inductions
  • Overseeing the current HR system and future involvement in new system implementation
  • Overseeing payroll (currently outsourced)
  • Compliance and employment legislation
  • Disciplinary and grievance procedures
  • Learning and development
  • Being the 'go to' leader with an opendoor policy

The Person:

  • Previous HR experience at a mid to senior level, minimum 5 years
  • CIPD qualified, or qualified by experience
  • Proven ability to review and improve processes
  • Detailed knowledge of UK employment law
  • Able to offer a confidential and approachable manner with sensitive information
