Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Orthopaedic team of nurses, medical staff and allied health professionals working within the Norfolk and Norwich Orthopaedic Centre (NaNOC) and our Orthopaedic directorate. This is an exciting and progressive directorate which is continuously adapting to meet and enhance the care provided to our patients.

Main duties of the job

Under the direction and supervision of the Nursing Staff, the post holder will participate as an integral member of the departmental team, undertaking nursing associate duties, including direct patient contact, to help provide a quality service by:

Providing and monitoring safe, person centred care to a designated group of patients, service users and families in a range of care settings under the direction of a registered nurse, without direct supervision in line with an agreed plan of care Supporting the registered nurse by contributing to integrated care of on-going assessment and care planning for patients Promoting health and prevent ill health in patients and service users and contribute to integrated care Monitoring the condition and health needs of patients on a continual basis in partnership with colleagues, families and carers, referring to others for reassessment, when required.

This will include working in the ward areas, admission areas and wound clinics post-surgery.

Working pattern to cover the needs of the service will be discussed at interview.
