Job Description:

As an E Commodity Specialist for an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), your primary responsibility is to manage the spares catalogue, enabling the timely availability and efficient distribution of spare parts to customers and service centers.

Prime Role & Duties:

Catalogue Development, Maintenance and Optimization

Lead the development and expansion of the spares catalogue, collaborating with product managers, purchasing, and other stakeholders.

Maintain and update the spares catalogue, ensuring accuracy and completeness of part data including numbers, descriptions, and pricing.

Research and identify new spare parts and accessories to enhance the catalogue's offerings.

Coordinate with engineering and product teams to incorporate new spare parts and modifications into the catalogue.

Analyse catalogue performance metrics, including sales data, customer feedback, and market trends, to identify areas for improvement.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

Work closely with sales, marketing, and customer service teams to align catalogue offerings with customer needs and market demand.

Provide support and training to internal teams on catalogue usage, features, and updates.

Collaborate with IT team to integrate the catalogue with online platforms and systems or define the requirements of new systems.

Inventory Optimization:

Analyze historical data and market trends to forecast demand for spare parts accurately.

Implement strategies to optimize inventory levels, minimizing excess stock while ensuring availability to meet customer requirements.

Price Management:

Regularly review and update pricing structures for spare parts, considering factors such as market conditions, competition, and product lifecycle.

Support the negotiation of pricing agreements with customers and suppliers to maximize profitability while maintaining competitiveness.

Reporting and Analysis:

Generate regular reports on sales performance, inventory status, and customer feedback, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Utilize data analytics tools to identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction.

Collate available competitor and benchmarking information to support spares service development.

Conduct research to identify market trends, demand patterns, and competitive landscape related to commodities sold online.

Allied Occasional Duties:

Work with other business units to develop new products, services, or packages to facilitate the expansion of the whole of business.

Client visits to support Key Account Managers to promote New Business and Service offerings.

Strong understanding of product lifecycle management and inventory control principles.

Knowledge of ERP systems and CRM software is desirable.
