accounts assistant with an eye for detail, a passion for precision, and a natural inclination to be cooperative, supportive, and willing to lend a helping hand? We could be the perfect fit for you Chilled Pubs are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our finance team on a part-time basis working 30hrs/week.
Who are Chilled Pubs?
It all started back in 2007 when Loren agreed to Richards crazy dream, and they together purchased the Bulls Head in Repton.
With 7 gorgeous sites, over 600 employees, an industry leading food & drink menu and just to be a bit different, 7 mascot alpacas.
Driven by their vision to become the top leading pub brands in The Midlands, they're passionate about finding superstars to live and breathe their values and ensure all guests are truly wowed by their Chilled Pub experience.
With no signs of slowing down, Richard and Loren are always on the lookout for their next project and would like to reach a portfolio of 20 pubs in the future.
What We're Looking For:
- Knowledge and understanding of management accounts, ledgers, and doubleentry bookkeeping.
- Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.
- Previous experience using accounting software such as Twinfields, Sage, or Xero.
- Strong Excel skills.
- AAT qualified, bookkeeping or equivalent qualifications are desirable but not essential.
What the role entails:
- Daily bank reconciliations
- Process bank payments and ensure timely payment to suppliers.
- Set up new bank beneficiaries.
- National Statistics reporting.
- Reconciliation of supplier accounts.
- Assisting with period end accounts.
- Assist with general overhead analysis.
- Assist with maintenance of control accounts.
- Assisting with the preparation and submission of VAT returns.
- Credit card reconciliations.
- Assist with Audit queries.
- Support the accounts team with ad hoc tasks as required.
