Your Duties Will Include:
  • Ensure effective delivery of the New Product Development (NPD) / EPD process from kitchen handover to launch, aligning with customer category plans by overseeing development work across the site
  • Lead the Process teams in transitioning products from kitchen to factory, ensuring all quality aspects are met and delivering the agreed margin
  • Manage development work site-wide to ensure timely delivery within the set cost parameters
  • Take responsibility for all project critical path stages, understanding the consequences of deviations
  • Oversee process teams' documentation to maintain product development standards
  • Lead product launches to set standards, conduct launch meetings, run trials efficiently, and hand over to Technical and production teams
  • Drive proactive process development initiatives to push production boundaries
  • Support post-launch reviews by collaborating with Technical teams for ongoing product quality assessment, addressing manufacturing issues, driving continuous improvement, and identifying cost-saving opportunities
  • Promote a culture of health and safety compliance during kitchen and process development activities
  • Manage a team, conduct regular updates, escalate issues, and perform appraisals
  • Participate in occasional ad hoc projects which may involve working at other sites within the organization

Experience:A strong passion for food and a desire to advance in the food manufacturing sectorExperience in managing teams within the development functionHACCP / Food Safety Training/basic understandingExperience in working with private label chilled foodsExperience in handling customer relationships, e.g., JS, Asda, M&SExperience in fried foods (preferred)HND/Degree in a food-related/manufacturing field (preferred)

Key Skills:Effective planning, organization, and project management abilitiesStrong communication skills across different team levelsProficient in presentationsProblem-solving skillsBasic computing skills
