Job Title:
Temporary Support Staff - Young Persons' Hub
Salary:
£ £ 23,184.00 pro rata) - plus benefits (Life Insurance, Healthcare Cover and Pension; also, your birthday off as an additional holiday
Status:
Sickness cover rolling contract: 16 per week.
On a two-week shift pattern:
Week - Monday 3-7 then sat & Sun 1-7. (Could consider 2 x 12 hours shifts per month)
Week - Tues - Friday 3-7.
Holidays: 22 Days plus Bank Holidays Pro rata.
Based in Wigan, at our Emergency Accommodation
Responsible to Emergency Accommodation Team Lead

JOB PURPOSE:
The Brick is a charity with big aspirations and its local community at the heart of everything it does. As a result, The Brick follows a strategy and approach focusing on personal development by following The 3 R's.
The 3 R's are:
Relief, meeting felt needs, Restoration, equipping people for self
- sustaining, independent living, and Reformation, speaking out and acting against social injustice. The key role will be to support The Brick and individuals through providing Restoration.
In summary the role of Support Staff in this provision, will work with young adults, experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
You will support 4 residents accommodated in a friendly, homely setting with immediate and midterm tailored trauma informed support plans.
Please note, this is a lone working post.
The focus is on providing trauma informed support and you will be responsible for building mutual trusting relationships with residents to enable them to engage with their tailored support plans; and become tenancy ready.
You will be responsible to deal with and raise safeguarding, respond to crises and deal with any incidents that occur whilst on shift.
You will also be responsible to ensure accurate recording of data and completion of safeguarding tiers, referrals to Adult Social Care and mental health services as appropriate.
You will work collaboratively with the Independent Living Mentor to help them engage with their support and move on plan.
