SUMMARY OF ROLE


The Service Centre Repair Specialist role focuses on the Investigation and repair of failures from the field and is an instrumental role within the Service business.


This role provides our Specialists with the opportunity to grow within the business and develop into world leading Technicians following a structured career path.


Responsibilities:


This role will take an active role in the companies 3Q6S policy and will be responsible for managing their own area.


The main areas of work will be:

  • Responding to queries for GRN creation and tracking through repair process.
  • Packaging of completed products and building the shipments ready for dispatching.
  • Completion of shipment process including all relevant supporting documentation.
  • Reporting of delays in shipments to the team via the daily scrum.
  • Working with customer services and customers where applicable to maintain communication on open or delayed orders.
  • Responsible for cycle counts and stock take completion.
  • Owning the goods in/out area of the Service Centre creating and maintaining a wellorganized work area to enhance the flow of products through a controlled process.
  • Providing cover for the inbound controller when required.
  • Where required perform tasks within the Service area such as subassembly processing, PCB programing for spares, conversions and rebuilding of drives.
  • Completing Repairs to a high standard of quality.
  • Achieving standard repair times and working to reduce cycle times through continuous Improvement.
  • Creation of accurate repair reports enabling both Customers and the Business to look for improvement actions to both products and systems.
  • Repair of all Current and Classic Nidec products to enhance flexibility and performance.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Qualification

  • Math's & English GCSE
  • Microsoft Office literate
  • ONC/HNC in Electronics or equivalent qualifications.

Experience

  • Working with electrical Test equipment
  • Working with High Voltage
