As a Barclays Data Requirements and Integration Lead, your role will involve centering on optimizing the design and use of analytics tools and fraud signals within a dynamic data environment.

As a data specialist, it is your responsibility to ensure that these tools and models are seamlessly integrated, facilitating analysis and robust fraud detection capabilities while also collaborating with IT and data science teams to ensure that the data architecture supports flexible and rapid analysis, accommodating evolving fraud detection needs.

What will you be doing?

  • Designing integrating analytics tools, fraud signals, and custom models into the organization's data systems to enhance analytical efficiency and fraud detection accuracy
  • Taking responsibility for implementing strategies for flexible data architecture and rapid analysis, accommodating evolving fraud detection needs
  • Being responsible for identifying and pursue opportunities to improve data management practices, streamline data flows, and eliminate redundancies
  • Monitoring and evaluate the effectiveness of current data integration strategies, making adjustments to improve throughput and reduce latency in data processing
  • Working collaboratively with the fraud strategy team to understand their needs and translate these into technical requirements that bolster fraud prevention mechanisms
  • Committing to optimizing customer experience while managing risks by coordinate between Fraud Strategy, Technology, Customer Channels

What we're looking for

  • A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline like Statistics, Mathematics, Operations, Finance, Technology, Research etc. or work experience equivalent
  • Solid Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of data architectures, databases, and data integration methodologies
  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to dissect complex data scenarios and derive actionable insights to support fraud prevention strategies
  • Project Management Skills: Competence in managing multiple projects, prioritizing tasks, and delivering results within tight deadlines

Skills that will help you in the role

  • Proven background in driving change with experience driving process improvements, business transformation, or root cause analysis
  • Background in developing financial business cases, project plans, and customer journeys

Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997.
