We are looking for a very special person to support the running of our baby development classes in the Huntingdon territories on a permanent class leader basis.

The Huntingdon territory covers across from March to Huntingdon and St Ives areas.

There is some flexibility to work in certain areas of this territory and classes are currently running in Hemingford and Abbots Ripton.


The classes run weekly, over approximately 45 weeks a year, and create a fun, supportive environment for babies from birth to 13 months and their parents.

You will be leading varied activities in each session in accordance with our detailed lesson plans and providing developmental information so that parents understand the value to their babies' learning.

You will be required to transport, set up and pack up the equipment before and after each class.

The classes are great fun to facilitate and provide an amazing opportunity to watch and enjoy young babies' development in their first year.

If you love babies, singing, music and plenty of interaction then you will really enjoy coming to work each day

  • A people person; natural and a confident communicator
  • Selfmotivated and positive with a strong focus on customer service
  • Outgoing (a theatrical flair would be an advantage)
  • Fun, with a considerate and caring nature
  • Adaptable, flexible and well organised
  • Confident when dealing with large groups of people
  • Have experience in working with babies or younger children, although this is not a prerequisite
  • Have a strong sense of attention to detail and an ability to maintain accurate records
  • Be able to facilitate leading class activities
  • Have a clean driving licence, use of a car and be prepared to travel
  • Be prepared to undergo a DBS check


You will be available to attend mandatory training online via zoom and the mandatory pre and post training dates at established classes in the local area.

We are offering a starting rate of £10.42 per hour as a probationary training period of approx. 4-6 weeks (hours and timetable to be discussed and decided with class leader).

After successful completion of training, the right person will then progress to class leader at an hourly rate of £12-£12.50 for 2 days of classes (which includes the hours to set up/pack down, class facilitation and 1 hour class preparation and rehearsal).


We currently run classes on Mondays in Hemingford and Thursday in Abbots Ripton, but have plans to add additional days through the course of 2024.

These additional days can be discussed and agreed with the successful incumbent.


There will be opportunities to increase your hours by running birthday parties and occasional weekend special events / promotional event.
