About the role and our team
Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding career opportunity?


As a Residential Support Worker within the Adult Learning Disability Services you will support service users with a variety of needs in a range of settings, enabling them to live as independently and fulfilling a life as possible.


Some of your main duties will include:

  • Promoting independence and supporting service users to make their own choices whilst becoming actively involved in the local community
  • Providing assistance to service users for their individual personal needs, such as bathing, toileting, dressing and dietary requirements
  • Implementing and participating in personcentred programmes of care in accordance with the assessed needs identified in the Individual Support Plans
  • Contributing to the support and safe management of service users who exhibit behaviours that challenge


We have a variety of full-time and part-time positions across the range of our services from supported living, respite services and our community homes.

You will be fully supported to obtain the QCF Level III in Health and Social Care, if not already attained.

Additional information


Please note an enhanced with barring police check is required for this post,
which Manx Care will cover the cost of for you.

Please note if you have lived for more than 6 months outside of the UK in the last 5 years, you will be required to obtain a Letter of Good Standing from the appropriate authorities in the relevant locations, please read the guidance about how to obtain this letter.

The post requires shift working including unsociable hours, sleep-in and waking night's duties.

A full, valid driving licence is essential for this role.

A relocation package and interview expenses are not available for this role.
