RECEPTION TEAM LEADER
REPORTS TO:
PRACTICE MANAGER
Job summary:
Responsible for the day to day supervision and management of all reception staff and associated functions, ensuring all functions are carried out in accordance with agreed procedures, protocols and time-scales, reporting to the practice manager as necessary.
Job responsibilities:
- Induction and training of all new staff to agreed standards.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels, approving annual and other leave and organises bank holiday rotas in line with agreed policy.
- Ensure adequate reception and associated facilities for practice, CCG and other in
- Manage the various appointments, visit and other books in line with agreed policies.
- Deal with more complex enquiries from patients and deputise for practice manager as practice complaints officer
- Continually assess and evaluate systems recommending changes and improvements to the practice manager as appropriate.
- Undertake normal receptionist duties in accordance with the Receptionist Job
- Annual appraisal of receptionist
- Maintenance of the reception standard operating procedures
- Fire marshall including weekly testing of alarms and fault reporting
- Ordering supplies and completing weekly returns for hearing aid batteries.
