Liverpool, Liverpool, United Kingdom Liverpool Women's NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Cheshire & Merseyside LMS has an important role in implementing a new delivery model to support the local sustainability and transformation agenda and drive continuous improvement to deliver the priorities of the NHS Long Term Plan.

A one-size-fits-all health and care system cannot meet the increasing complexity of people's needs and expectations.

People want to feel listened to and understood by health and care professionals and want to be involved in decisions about their care.

Evidence shows that people will have better experiences and improved health and wellbeing if they can actively shape their care and support

This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference to women and families across Cheshire & Merseyside.

Working closely with the clinical leads and the Programme Director you will work as part of a dynamic team across the geography to drive the quality and safety agenda forwards.

The post holder will be responsible for supporting the clinical leads with the delivery of the Local Maternity and Neonatal System (LMNS) plan and will support the senior management team to develop systems and processes to monitor the delivery of the key lines of enquiry and service improvement across the C&M LMNS.

Provide a comprehensive administrative and project co-ordinated service to the clinical leads and team to support the delivery of all aspects of the LMNS plan.

The post holder will provide support to relevant meetings, committees, forums and networks ensuring professional administration, information sharing and management of actions.

The post holder will follow up on actions and collate information from providers on behalf of the LMNS.

They will also provide direct support and oversight to specific pieces of work to enable teams to test and implement improvements and projects in identified areas.

Please see the Job Description and Person Specification for full details.

Under the umbrella of Cheshire and Merseyside Women's Health and Maternity Partnerships the Local Maternity System is hosted by Liverpool Women's Hospital.

The partnership is developing new models of care and services across Cheshire and Merseyside, designed for the population with a focus on the needs of the individual and is a work stream of the Cheshire and Merseyside Health and Care Partnership (HCP).

The LMNS is tasked with bringing together providers involved in maternity care to ensure services are safe, high quality and person centred across Cheshire & Merseyside.

This role provides an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant team focusing on the transformation and redesign of Women's Maternity & Health Services.

  • Support the senior managers in the team to develop systems and processes associated with the implementation and oversight of key pieces of work (connected with the LMNS or core business objectives)
  • Produce reports for any relevant meetings, committees and steering groups as required
  • Work with members of the project/programme team to investigate the causes of any variance from target/plan and proactively contribute to the implementation of solutions
  • Logging and managing project data to ensure spreadsheets are accurate and updated regularly. Analyse the input and contact contributors who have not sent in the data so that the records are complete prior to reporting
  • Develop evaluation frameworks, making outcomes available to the team and allowing the projects to be effectively evaluated
  • Support the team to undertake surveys and audits necessary for maintaining and improving the projects
  • Support the development of the LMNS plan for the team and project monitoring of that plan
Support the LMNS work groups, agreeing action plans with group members and developing project management approaches to secure delivery of action plans
