The role:

Possible start date: ASAPMonday to Friday; 9am to 5pm - with 30-minute lunch breakTotal working hours: 37.5

What you will do in your working day:

Summary of Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Report to the Management Accountant.
  • You will develop accountancy skills in double-entry bookkeeping and basic costing, as well as an understanding of purchase, sales and general ledgers
  • Learn to use accounting software and to develop the professional skills and behaviours needed to contribute effectively in the workplace
  • Bookkeeping transactions
  • Bookkeeping controls
  • Elements of costing
  • Using accounting software
  • Developing skills within house training and college support within the areas of bespoke tax planning, asset protection, tax investigation resolution and specialist accountan

Standards of Performance:

  • Ensure tidy work environment is maintained
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Organise workload to meet deadlines
  • Meet the training deadlines of the apprenticeship training

The training you will receive:

  • Level 3 AAT qualification
  • All training is undertaken online, through a combination of self-paced eLearning and live online classes
  • Functional skills in English & maths if required

Future prospects:

Potential full-time role or further study support for career progression on successful completion of this apprenticeship.
