The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining the manufacturing plant and equipment, handling electrical installations, overseeing production equipment maintenance, and ensuring that both planned preventative maintenance and breakdown tasks are completed efficiently to maintain continuous business operations.

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) according to schedules
  • Lead electrical component installations with proper sign-offs, risk assessments, and method statements
  • Participate in maintenance team meetings for plant start-up, equipment monitoring, and plant shut-down
  • Keep maintenance documentation up to date with proposed corrective actions and thorough records
  • Conduct certified testing and inspections to comply with electrical safety regulations
  • Identify and troubleshoot faults in electrical and mechanical engineering
  • Take part in continuous improvement projects to boost factory performance
  • Offer engineering assistance to Peterlee and other sites, covering both reactive and planned maintenance activities
  • Supervise subcontractor tasks as necessary

Requirements:

  • Hold an industry-recognized electrical qualification such as ONC/HNC or equivalent
  • Demonstrate experience in fault finding, inverter programming, and various PLCs
