About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Auto Electrician to join our team at Caterpillar Peterlee, a world-leading manufacturer of heavy trucks. As an Auto Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, fault-finding, and resolving electrical systems for new off-highway vehicle designs, as well as servicing and maintaining electrical aspects of current products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and fault-finding of electrical systems
  • Issue resolution of electrical systems for new off-highway vehicle designs
  • Service and maintenance of electrical aspects of current products
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Carry out manual lifting and work with an awareness of safety at all times
Requirements
  • Served a recognised apprenticeship as an Auto Electrician
  • Experience in working in off-highway, bus, train, or commercial sectors
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Good PC skills in Microsoft Office applications
  • Full driving licence

Working Environment

Caterpillar Peterlee is a modern and well-equipped facility, with a focus on quality and safety. The site is easily accessible by bus, car, and train, and is located just off the A19. PPE is mandatory on the factory floor, and will be supplied to you.
