Purchase Ledger Clerk

RG Consultancy are working with a well-established Company based in Bury who are looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to work with and report to their Finance Manager. This is a great opportunity for an already experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk who would like to expand their skill set further and is interested in working in the Waste industry.
Duties:
- Verifying purchase invoices and self-billed sales invoices against monthly Excel reports provided by suppliers.
- Assigning codes and posting all purchase and self-billed sales invoices for two companies.
- Addressing and resolving queries with suppliers.
- Ensuring all invoices are received and processed according to the monthly Excel reports from suppliers.
- Reconciling supplier statements on a monthly basis.
- Assisting in the preparation of bi-monthly payment runs for two companies.
- Meeting month-end deadlines consistently.
- Responding to telephone calls and email inquiries from suppliers.
- Providing holiday cover for the Senior Purchase Ledger Officer and other Finance team members.
Benefits:
- Standard hours of work are min. 37.5hrs per week. A flexitime system is in operation with core hours of 10am to 4pm
- Hybrid working, 2 days working in the Bury office and 3 days working from home;
- 25 days paid holidays + 1 day after 5 years continued service and then an additional day for each extra 2 years of service up to a maximum of 30 days + bank holidays
- Company pension scheme with employer matching own contributions up to a maximum of 7.5% after first 3 months of employment
- Private health cover including partial cover of dentist, opticians / physiotherapy costs for the employee only but with the option of adding extra family members at your own cost
- Death in service benefit of 3 times salary
