Independent Form F Assessors

Family Fostering are seeking
independent, self-employed Form F Assessors to take on Form F assessments for prospective foster parents.

At Family Fostering we are a small independent fostering service based in East Kent. We urgently need experienced independent qualified social workers with experience of completing in depth assessments. A sound knowledge of fostering legislation and practice is required as is the ability to work closely and transparently within a small team. Full supervision and guidance is provided.

Fee per assessment:
£2,000
You need to have a relevant professional qualification in social work, together with valid HCPC registration. You should also have experience of undertaking assessments of foster carers and/or potential foster carers. A good knowledge of the fostering regulations, child care law and safeguarding issues is essential.

You will be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.


You will need to be flexible and have the capability to use your initiative and work under pressure to ensure deadlines are met and to enable the smooth running of the service.

Experience of an Independent Fostering Agency is advantageous.

We are committed to safeguarding. The recruitment process aims to create and maintain a safe workforce and contains robust vetting procedures. Satisfactory references and enhanced DBS are required.
