**Overview of the End-point Assessor role**

We have implemented a remote end-point assessment (EPA) process, conducted through video calling, allowing assessors to work from anywhere in the UK, as long as they have a computer, webcam, and reliable internet connection. The assessments encompass a variety of formats, typically involving the evaluation of a written report, presentation, Q&A session, and professional discussion.

As an independent end-point assessor, this role offers flexibility, enabling you to work from the comfort of your own home and choose your own hours within standard office hours. This is a part-time position with the potential for rapid growth, providing opportunities to expand your involvement as demand for assessments increases.

**Key Accountabilities**:
As an end-point assessor, your key accountabilities will include:

- **Regular Training and Standardisation**:Actively participate in regular training and standardisation activities.
- **Continuous Professional Development (CPD)**: Maintain and provide evidence of ongoing and relevant Continuous Professional Development.
- **Compliance with Protocols**: Follow the protocols outlined in assessment plans, assessment materials, and quality assurance protocols related to the end-point assessments (EPAs).
- **Service-Level Agreements**: Adhere to service-level agreements regarding timely responses to EPA planning, operational activities, report submissions, and assessment outcomes.
- **Reporting and Risk Management**:Report all encountered risks and issues during the end-point assessment to Summit Qualifications.
- **High-Quality Assessment Reports**: Ensure that all EPA reports and assessment evidence are of high quality, accurately recorded, and meet the required standards.
- **Effective Time Management**:Allow for additional time for travel when making EPA arrangements, ensuring punctuality and efficient planning.
- **Conflict of Interest**: Raise any conflicts of interest that may arise, particularly in relation to the independence of assessment, ensuring impartiality and fairness.

**Person Specification**:

- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the Digital Marketer standard.
- Experience in leading meetings, structured interviews, and discussions, showcasing effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with complying with quality assurance and regulatory requirements, ensuring adherence to established standards.
- Evidence of commitment to continuous professional development (CPD), aligning with new apprenticeship requirements and the specific EPA specialism.
- Possession of an assessing qualification or teaching qualification, demonstrating the ability to evaluate and assess learners effectively.

**Background and Experience (desirable)**:

- Experience in marking or grading judgments, preferably in a related field.
- Previous experience in Marketing or Digital Marketing roles, providing additional industry expertise.

**Skills and Knowledge (essential)**:

- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively respond to conflicts and handle challenging situations professionally.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and codes of practice in the Digital Marketing industry.
- Sufficient and relevant technical knowledge of the digital industry, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
- In-depth knowledge of the associated apprenticeship standard, assessment plan, specification, assessment instruments, and recording tools.
- Ability to identify and report risks associated with the assessment process accurately.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Commitment to attending standardisation events for ongoing professional development and alignment with assessment standards.
