The post holder will be responsible for the smooth and safe running of the maternity ward and will take overall charge not only of ward but also of the postnatal and pregnancy assessment unit if required.
The post holder will have some responsibility for a group of band 5 and 6 midwives for appraisal and development, and be involved in the developments of services, dealing with complaints and engaging in multidisciplinary team working and team working across Trust
