Our client is an established & successful Logistics company that are on the lookout for an experienced Transport Planner based in Southampton, Hampshire.


Job Title:
Transport Planner

Location:
Southampton

Salary:
£25,000 to £40,000 per annum - depending on Experience.

Job Type:
Fulltime permanent.

Shift: 0700am starts Monday to Friday / occasional Saturdays.

The Ideal Person:

  • MUST have experience with Transport Planner role
  • Ability to lead and mentor other planners with the team
  • Proficient ability in using industry standard IT
  • Strong team player with good communication Ability to work under pressure
  • A good Understanding of the local geographical area would be advantageous
  • Experience in Planning / Routing and managing a fleet of vehicles.
  • Can multiTask and prioritise duties.

Duties:

  • Planning and routing the fleet of Vehicles.
  • Managing the inhouse systems and databases
  • Liaising sand communicating with other's within the Transport Planning Team
  • Managing and maintaining office files
  • Ensuring high levels of customer service with their clients and ensuring a high level of performance is maintained at all times.
  • Ensure that all jobs are documented correctly.
  • Planning the workload on a daily basis for the site
  • Assist in ensuring the smooth operation of the company's collection services and that they meet the SLAs for their clients.
  • Ensuring adherence to corporate policies as well as legal requirements for vehicle operations, health & safety, and other regulations.
  • Utilising drivers and vehicles for deliveries and pickups in an efficient manner
