Fleet Services are seeking a Fleet Business support officer who will be supporting both the Fleet Operations and Workshop Operations Teams, dealing with designated queries and everyday questions and tasks relating to the fleet operation.

The postholder will come into daily contact with members of the public, our suppliers and other members of the council.

Fleet Services are currently responsible for the maintenance and repair of approximately 400 vehicles, and 900 pieces of plant.

These items are fully maintained as part of a Service Level Agreement with user departments ensuring they are of roadworthy and serviceable standard, keeping downtime to a minimum.

To enable these goals to be achieved it is essential that maintenance and repairs are carried out to industry standard times, or above, and meet the agreed SLA and KPI targets.


You will be part of the Administration team within Fleet Services, supporting the Fleet hire supervisor by dealing with designated queries and everyday questions, to reporting on issues highlighted by the Fleet Operations manager.

This will mean daily contact with members of the public, our suppliers, and other Council staff.
