Agency Contract Partner
Menzies Distribution are looking for an Agency Contract Partner to provide direction, leadership and development of our temporary labour agency suppliers, creating a focus on supporting Hubs and Depots with their management of agency labour.
As the Agency Contract Partner, you will support Regional Directors and Depot Managers with implementing a strategic approach to Agency usage and assessing agency performance against agreed contracts and SLA's, in order to optimise balance of Agency usagevs Perm hiring.
- You will lead on a programme to significantly reduce agency spend across the Group and generate significant savings.
Agency Contract Partner Duties:
- Lead Agency Management Group and support Regional Directors by facilitating depot level labour management meetings across Central Recruitment, Hub/Depot leads and where appropriate Agency representatives.
- Support Central Recruitment team with expediting vacancy fulfilment by engaging suppliers to support HR initiatives.
- Conduct yearly Tender for all suppliers to include confirmation of new rates/T's & C's/KPI's and process etc
- Onboarding of all temporary labour agency suppliers to meet business terms / charge rates / Driver Neg. etc
- Perform Bi-Annual audits of each supplier to ensure legal compliance
- Negotiate rates with suppliers in line with market trends to reduce overcharging and NMW adherence.
- Monthly Audits on Suppliers for WTD Compliance and reporting
- Act as the link between Suppliers and Operations to enforce business policies and license compliance and change.
- Monitor business and Agency compliance for AWR (Agency Worker Regulations)
- Report to reduce temp overspend for post AWR and challenge the business to drive down overspend.
- Site visits to both supplier and user to audit for compliance and deliver training.
- Produce monthly Temporary Labour business spend and hours and overtime cost reports for Line manager, RD's etc
- Produce AWR reporting for wider business to highlight compliance and report on over unnecessary overspend.
- Report and escalate agency noncompliance to Operations, HR, and the wider business
- Produce and support ad hoc analysis and reporting of temp labour cost and usage.
Experience Requirements:
- Proven supplier management expertise, particularly of temporary labour agencies
- Proven knowledge of employment labour legislation and compliance
- Able to manage, motivate and develop people cross functionally.
- Budget management
- Ability to plan and organise effectively to meet deadlines.
- Good analytical and data management skills
- High level of accuracy and numeracy and a keen eye for detail
- Ability to understand data and translate into measurable actions for improvement.
- Full and current UK driving license and travel within UK with occasional overnight stays.
