About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Drainage and Wastewater Planner. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development of Drainage and Wastewater Management Plans (DWMPs) for water companies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Principal Drainage & Wastewater Planner in providing technical advice and guidance on DWMPs.
  • Review and respond to draft and final DWMPs and annual reviews.
  • Build strong relationships with local water & sewerage companies, stakeholders, and operational teams to ensure the development of robust DWMPs.
  • Escalate risks and issues and work with the team and other departments across the Environment Agency.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of drainage, surface water, wastewater engineering, wastewater treatment, and/or sewerage systems is essential.
  • Experience of partnering and building relationships, acting as a key interface with customers.
  • Eye for detail and ability to examine and analyse data, presenting facts/findings in a logical and well-structured manner.
  • Self-starter, motivated to achieve outcomes with an appetite to work collaboratively across teams and with stakeholders and partners.
