  • An awardwinning multidisciplinary design and survey consultancy in the critical infrastructure sector, trusted partners to many of the largest and wellknown infrastructure companies in the UK.
  • We're a closeknit team, that is refreshingly different to work with than many large corporates. We're friendly, flexible and dynamic in our approach to people, projects and clients. You'll be working as an integral part of our office support team alongside our Directors' and Engineers.

Why are we looking for this role?

  • Currently we're a team of 50 across the group, with plans to grow our numbers over the next two years, which could be accelerated through our growth and acquisition strategy.
  • Because of the growth a strong support function is a critical enabler for our business, so we need a fantastic EA who is central to our business support function and provides close support to our MD.
  • In addition to your EA responsibilities there is the opportunity to focus on continuous improvement, consistency and best practice sharing by playing a critical role in determining in how we operate as a business and as a team across our recruitment, onboarding, HR and more broadly in our operational areas.

As our EA, you will help us by being;

  • The main supporting role for the MD, their trusted advisor, helping to make the MDs day to day flow well and getting the most from each day.
  • The go to for client interfacing and first interaction and impression.
  • Responsible for logistics, organisation and prep for travel and meetings so the MD is going in set up for success.
  • The go to for the team and confidant for any concerns or requests; a problemsolver for the people
  • The leader of the admin team.
  • Aware of and understanding any challenges, problem areas and areas for improvement across the team.
  • A social and cultural champion, bringing the team together for events, activities and fun that creates special moments that live long in the memory.

Core Responsibilities for the role:

  • Preparation and coordination of management meetings, board meetings sitting in, taking notes, following up on actions to drive things forward and get things done.
  • Having a good structure and working with the MD to get the most from each day, help to manage and simplify the complexity, so it all runs like clockwork.
  • Supporting Directors with HR administration and people management activities from employee onboarding to exit processes, take ownership of HR processes and initiatives.
  • Working as the interface between our team and the outsourced HR partner.
  • Supporting or leading operational process improvements and initiatives.

What skills and exposure would we love you to bring to the team?

  • Previous PA/EA experience to enable you to work closely with the MD as a trusted advisor.
  • Interfacing with clients, means people skills are the most important commercial skill for this role, you'll be interacting on a daily basis with multiple stakeholders particularly as we develop and grow.
  • You'll be joining an admin team of 5, made up of Office, Project and Compliance specialists, so you have a strong support system around you.
  • Fantastic organisation skills are also highly important as building and running several projects and tasks requires a meticulous level of attention to the details that make the difference and help make things run smoothly and seamlessly.
  • Broader operational business would be a plus, if you have previous experience of Health & Safety, Compliance, Quality and Continuous Improvement there are several projects you can support us with
  • You love to bring people together by acting as a cultural champion for the business, organising team events and socials to bring people together across functions and businesses, making a difference in the little details that make it a great place to work for everyone.
