The role

Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the management of all commercial aspects for our Signalling & Telecoms division.

You will be responsible for reporting on our commercial performance and ensuring commercial risk is managed effectively.
Key accountabilities

Based in Scotland you will be required to have the ability to achieve maximum commercial value from our projects.

You will also have excellent report writing and analytical abilities, combined with strong communication skills.
Skills & experience
Key duties for this role include:
Monthly preparation and presentation of the business performance report
Monitor and report on cost, value and cash collection to ensure departmental activity is within agreed budgets and authorities
Liaise with the client on all commercial negotiations including the close out of projects
Management and development of commercial staff within the department
Assist with the preparation of tender information
Adhere to and ensure compliance with Company Commercial Procedures and Guidelines

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent in an appropriate discipline and hold or be working towards membership of RICS and have proven railway experience.

Other

Previous experience in a Senior Commercial or Quantity Surveying role for a rail contractor together with an up to date knowledge of contract law are essential requirements for this role.
