Team UHD are looking for a Medical Recruitment Officer to led a team of medical recruitment administrators responsible for the recruitment of all Trust grade doctors and consultants within UHD.

This is a fast paced role with changing priorities, and varied workload. Experience working within recruitment, recruitment procedures, and managing a team is important. Experience of NHS medical recruitment would be advantageous.

You will need to be an effective communicator as you'll be supporting managers of all levels within the trust and your team to carry out recruitment activity providing advice and guidance of fair recruitment practice and trust recruitment procedures.

In addition you will be supporting candidates to create a positive Candidate journey through all stages on recruitment and through to onboarding. Experience of international recruitment and sponsorship would be ideal.

Base Location: Yeoman's House, Yeomans Way

Interview Date: TBC

Main duties of the job The main duties of the role Include:-

- Being responsible for the Medical Resourcing services across university Hospitals Dorset as part of the wider recruitment Team

- Oversight of workloads for the team including providing train, advice and guidance to the team

- Responsible for providing guidance and support on recruitment practice for Recruiting managers

  • Educated to Degree Level or equivalent experience

  • CIPD membership/ qualification/ Or willingness to undertake

  • Direct and recent experience of running a medical recruitment function and of actively recruiting medical staff including consultants
  • Use of a range of recruitment and selection methods
  • Setting up and maintaining effective tracking and administrative systems
  • Line management
Desirable
  • Experience of recruitment in other organisations
Knowledge Essential
  • Excellent organisation and prioritising skills
  • Knowledge of current medical human resources issues at both Trust and national level
