BRIEF OVERVIEW


As a HR Specialist at DSV, you will be the first point of contact for employee relations queries, escalating to the HR Partner where required.

You will support the divisional HR team, in HR & Recruitment administrative duties, and general ER guidance to ensure that efficient HR support is provided to the business.

This a fixed term position covering a colleague on maternity, available with immediate start from the beginning of February.

It is estimated this will run until the end of February 2024, but maybe open for extension depending on circumstances.


KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Support with the effective/timely communication with employees regarding recruitment to ensure smooth running of the department.
  • Supporting the HR team with adhoc priorities and HR Administration
  • Produce administration, comms to mailing lists etc. and ensure any HR filing is maintained within the company guidelines and GDPR.
  • Arranging interviews and relevant correspondence
  • Receive incoming telephone calls and deal with where relevant.
  • Ensuring & maintaining validity of data on central HR system
  • Adding, Inputting and checking data on various HR systems including Employee Central, etc
  • Collate employee documentation as required, i.e., for new starters
  • Support the HR Partner with preparing HR Metrics.
  • Be able to support the business and provide guidance to managers for Employee Relation concerns, complex issues to be escalated and discussed with the HR Partner
  • Support with adhoc projects, such as review and drafting of policies / hr communications and internal colleague newsletters.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Previous experience in a HR Admin/Advisor Role
  • Understanding of HR Best practice and ability to consider commercial practicalities of certain guidance
  • High Accuracy skills
  • Customer focused attitude with high level of professionalism and discretion
  • Work on own initiative, prioritise and manage workload effectively
  • Good use of MS Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel. Clear knowledge of mailmerge's, vlookups and Pivot tables would be beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
