We're looking for a Head of Risk Reporting, Analytics & Data Risk who'll lead our Risk Reporting and the Data Risk specialism for the 2nd line of defence within Insurance, Pensions & Investments (IP&I). The team is responsible for the oversight of a full suite of data subject areas from data management to data privacy, and data ethics to data analytics across both financial and non-financial risk. You'll also lead the team providing informative and forward-looking reporting and analytics in respect of the IP&I Risk Management MI.

You'll inspire, lead and develop highly skilled teams in delivering outstanding risk oversight and reporting capabilities whilst engaging and influencing across IP&I and Lloyds Banking Group.

What you'll be doing:

  • Delivery of risk-based reviews which analyse and assess the effectiveness, adequacy and maturity of the data controls operating across the business.
  • Building and influencing relationships, both internally and externally to IP&I.
  • Creating and agreeing proposals for strengthening and simplifying the data control environment.
  • Providing formal risk opinions to the Executive committees, and detailed briefings to the IP&I Model, Analytics & Data Risk Director and Chief Risk Officer.
  • Providing advice, guidance and independent challenge to key strategic change initiatives.
  • Oversighting delivery of the Group Data Strategy, and embedding of the Group Data Policy in IP&I.
  • Reviewing and responding to regulatory developments, consultations and requests for information impacts the data landscape.
  • Supporting the improvement of data and analytical capabilities across IP&I Risk, including within our risk reporting.
  • Using data and analytics to derive insights about, and report on the IP&I Risk and control environment.
  • Leading delivery of the IP&I risk oversight plan, identifying, and coordinating oversight activities based on the current and future risk profile of the business.
  • Ensuring the provision of timely and high-quality reporting and presentations to meet internal and external deliverables including papers for IP&I Committees in line with requirements of each committee and Executive and Board meetings.
  • Directing, motivating, developing and appraising team members as required; carrying out appropriate benchmarking; ensuring that individual and collective performance is of the required standard to meet the current and future needs of the Division.

What you'll need:

  • Broad knowledge across the full spectrum of financial and non-financial risks faced by IP&I and a strong understanding of Insurance products and services.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory rules and requirements as they apply to data and the risk management framework.
  • Demonstrate technical experience/ understanding of high-quality risk reporting and documentation including preparing Senior Management, Executive and Board level presentations.
  • Track record of innovation; developing and implementing improved processes, particularly leveraging new technical solutions.
  • Strong influencing skills and experience influencing a wide and diverse group of partners to achieve IP&I risk objectives.
  • Understanding of Enterprise Risk Management Frameworks and associated tools and techniques, including risk and control self-assessment.
  • Proven track record in revising processes and building systems that create a culture of teamwork and collaboration across the organisation and actively provides feedback.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, analytics and problem-solving skills with the ability to undertake intelligence gathering, assimilate and analyse large amounts of information.
