Lettings and Allocations Coordinator

LOCATION:
Bath

DURATION:12 Month Fixed Term

SALARY:
£29,000 per annum

HOURS:
Mon to Fri

Purpose of role:

To provide an efficient and target driven allocations service while meeting key performance indicators within your allocated patch.

You will support local authority housing applicants in their pursuit for social housing and provide guidance and advice over the course of the service provided.


Daily Duties:

  • Process any notice to end a tenancy also known as Notice-ToQuit (NTQ).
  • Organise prevoid inspections.
  • Utilise local authority housing registers in allocating general needs properties.
  • Advertise properties on bidding systems.
  • Prioritise applicants based on their banding.
  • Retrieve tenancy references for applicants prior to signup.
  • Complete applicant interviews, income and expenditure checks to assure the tenancy will be sustainable.
  • Prepare all tenancy paperwork such as tenancy starter pack and tenancy agreements.
  • Book viewings and tenancy signups in housing officers' diaries.
  • Accurately record all information relating to the process you undertake.
  • Store tenancy agreements compliantly in line with GDPR and organisational policies.
  • Work alongside the voids team to ensure properties are of a lettable standard and that any information on void standard is fed back to the void manager.
  • Cooperate with income team to calculate rent in advance and take payment.
  • Support the housing team by ensuring all appointments are booked conveniently.

Essential requirements:

  • Ability to work in a target driven environment.
  • Desire to support and assist customers with their pursuit of affordable and social housing.
  • Customer focussed, passionate and driven attitude.

Desirable requirements:

  • Social Housing experience (1 year)
  • Lettings experience. (1 year)
