We are currently searching for an experienced Stress Engineer to undertake stress analysis and FEA work using ANSYS on rotating equipment subject to heavy component loading
Working as part of a team you will conduct simulations to determine performance.
Your Responsibilities (non-exhaustive):
– Carry out analysis project work.
– Undertake analysis tasks (FEA, System Analysis, Rotor Dynamics for example) as required to support projects.
– Contribute to the establishment, validation and maintenance of analysis procedures.
– Support manufacturing and purchasing concession requests.
– Provide support to the Engineering Managers and Tet Engineering Team.
– Provide a critique of analytical and design proposals to ensure product integrity.
– Provide customer-facing support as required.
– Create engineering analysis cost estimations.
Your Knowledge and Experience:
– In-depth knowledge of structural analysis techniques, including fatigue analysis to the level required for component certification by outside bodies.
– In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience of the use of FEA software.
– The ability to critically review analysis work and correct where necessary.
– Knowledge of shafts, bearings, thermal response, noise and vibration and some basic tribology.
– Knowledge of relevant industry standards and design protocols (ISO, AGMA, DIN, FKM, DNV for example) (preferred).
– Ability to perform complex hand calculations from first principles.
– Knowledge of rotor dynamic analysis.
