Stress Analysis Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Stress Engineer to undertake stress analysis and FEA work using ANSYS on rotating equipment subject to heavy component loading.
Your Key Responsibilities:- Conduct simulations to determine performance and ensure product integrity.
- Undertake analysis tasks (FEA, System Analysis, Rotor Dynamics) to support projects and contribute to the establishment, validation, and maintenance of analysis procedures.
- Support manufacturing and purchasing concession requests and provide customer-facing support as required.
- Provide a critique of analytical and design proposals to ensure product integrity and create engineering analysis cost estimations.
- In-depth knowledge of structural analysis techniques, including fatigue analysis to the level required for component certification by outside bodies.
- Hands-on experience of the use of FEA software and ability to critically review analysis work and correct where necessary.
- Knowledge of shafts, bearings, thermal response, noise and vibration, and some basic tribology.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and design protocols (ISO, AGMA, DIN, FKM, DNV).
- Ability to perform complex hand calculations from first principles and knowledge of rotor dynamic analysis.
