Mental Health and Learning Disability Support Worker
PA provides personal assistant services in the community to people from all different walks of life. We support people living with mental health needs, vulnerable adults, physical disabilities and learning disabilities. We enable our clients to achieve independence and integrate with the local community safely and confidently.

We are looking for team members who are calm and patient but enthusiastic and self-motivated, ready to provide reliable regular support to our clients

Full training will be provided to the suitable applicant.

A full clean driving license and use of a vehicle is required

Your Role
Working with clients in the implementation, monitoring and regular review of individual support plans.

Promoting a pleasant, safe, and homely environment by participating in the monitoring of the care and cleanliness of client's homes and supporting them to achieve this.

(No personal care)

Provide the necessary level of assistance in line with client's abilities and needs.

Enabling them to carry out day to day tasks, including prompting medication, shopping, cooking, housekeeping, and finding employment opportunities or volunteering, organising leisure trips to improve wellbeing and different activities to promote a healthy lifestyle.

Support and assistance with food prep and laundry as required in line with their support plan.


Supporting clients to liaise with external contractors or health professionals and note taking/feeding back to people nominated by the service user as part of their support team.


Supporting clients by helping them to become aware of their social and practical obligations in the community and ensuring that they are aware of relevant health and safety issues.

To support clients with finances where this is agreed in their support plan.


To assist clients in line with their agreed support plan to take part in community activities including access to leisure, fitness, education, employment and volunteer opportunities.

Contribute to risk assessment and management as indicated in the support plan.

Involvement in client reviews as appropriate.


Maintaining a safe working environment, ensuring accidents & incidents are reported and recorded in compliance with health and safety policies/procedures.

The role will include some cleaning duties.

Essential Skills
Driver with full clean UK driving license

Excellent communication skills

Caring nature

Ability to record information accurately and clearly
