Job summary

The Mental Health Access Team covering the Central Cheshire location currently have an exciting opportunity for a part time Clinical Secretary to work within a multi disciplinary team based in Vale House, Winsford.

The role involves working alongside a team of nurses, administration staff and a consultant.

Previous administrative experience is essential and a working knowledge of systems and software programmes Winscribe, and other Microsoft office applications.

This post is part time hours per week.

Main duties of the job

To provide comprehensive Medical Secretarial support to the Consultant and Clinical Team. Tasks include:-

Booking appointments

Writing letters, using Windscribe

Updating records

Managing diaries

Coordinating meetings

Managing waiting lists

Liaising with other health staff and outside agencies, GP's etc.

Qualifications

Essential

RSA III Typewriting Qualification or equivalent

Desirable

ECDL AMSPAR Medical Secretary Diploma or equivalent level of experience

Knowledge & Expertise

Essential

Working knowledge of software programmes, eg: Microsoft Office Understanding of medical terms Audio Typing experience Knowledge of the Data Protection Act and Information Governance Minute / Note taking experience

Previous Secretarial experience Experience of working as a member of a team in an office environment
