We're looking for a passionate and dedication Inclusion Provision Leader for The Galilee Centre.


Launching in September 2024, The Galilee Centre is an enhanced provision centre that provides time-limited placements for children and young people who have found themselves in some way unable to access mainstream education.

This may be through unmet needs, sometimes referred to as Special Educational Needs (SEN), or complex life circumstances.

Duties, Responsibilities and Key Tasks:

  • Lead through close collaboration with the SENCO, year teams and other key staff to develop and deliver the strategic plan for The Galilee Centre. In particular developing strategies to reengage students with education to enable mainstream reintegration and facilitate student achievement.
  • Lead and be responsible for The Galilee Centre, creating, developing, managing and reviewing systems on a regular basis to ensure the highest standard of provision is delivered.
  • Lead and implement the provision timetable matched to individual student need. This must include basic skills of literacy and numeracy as well as a range of enrichment activities to support personal, moral and social development.
  • Deliver a range of curriculum content that meets individual students' needs, maximising student progress and reengaging students with learning. This will include literacy and numeracy and other appropriate courses such as; computer literacy; citizenship; public services.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the provision curriculum and its delivery making changes as required to maximise student progress.
  • Lead on the development of a community enterprise programme for this provision where students are able to engage positively with the local community.
  • Lead on the delivery of careers, advice and guidance for students within this provision to build aspiration and motivation.
  • Manage the supportive services available to students, including maintaining an overview of students who are accessing these services, reviewing progress and ensuring no student falls through the gap.
  • Contribute to regular inclusion meetings to enable a full flow of communication so that all stakeholders are keep fully informed and that student progress is regularly reviewed.
  • Lead on and deliver programmes to support our most vulnerable students and their families to develop better learning, behaviour and social strategies and to maximise their potential.
  • Liaise and communicate with parents, external agencies, and key staff in the school as appropriate.
  • Develop positive behaviour for learning strategies, create a nurturing, safe environment in which individuals can grow and learn. Support individuals to change their behaviour within the Christian ethos of the academy.
  • Support the restorative justice system by ensuring students reflect on their behaviour through various techniques.
  • Meet and greet students on arrival to the provision.
  • Address safeguarding concerns according to school policies.
