Amazon is searching for a Senior Program Manager to lead the development of the transport decarbonization strategy in emerging countries (MENA/APAC/LATAM).

We need someone who is passionate about sustainability and excited to drive innovative initiatives that will help Amazon achieve its Climate Pledge.

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience with zero/low-carbon technologies, a successful track record in leading sustainability projects, knowledge of the transportation and logistics industry, and familiarity with policy landscapes in MENA, APAC, and LATAM countries regarding zero/low-carbon technologies.

Moreover, the right person should possess strong strategic thinking abilities, the capacity to navigate complex challenges, manage large-scale projects across various technologies and stakeholder groups, and effectively collaborate and influence others. Experience with automotive suppliers is a definite plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish an ecosystem to promote sustainable transportation adoption in MENA/APAC/LATAM, collaborating with external partners and internal teams to realize a long-term vision.
  • Provide guidance to business units on emission reduction strategies, budget planning, and resource allocation for transport decarbonization.
  • Execute significant investments in zero/low-carbon transport solutions to address emissions challenges within Amazon's operations.
  • Participate in public-private partnerships and industry coalitions to drive innovative solutions. Work with Public Policy teams to identify policy opportunities that accelerate the adoption of zero/low-carbon technologies.
  • Develop expertise in zero/low-carbon technology as the go-to person for Amazon Operations in LATAM/MENA/APAC, sharing knowledge and mentoring others.

About the Team:

The Worldwide Operations Sustainability (WWOS) team establishes the vision and strategy for sustainability within Amazon operations, including interim goals to achieve the Climate Pledge by 2040 and broader initiatives beyond decarbonization.

WWOS centrally coordinates strategies across all regions, especially on topics that transcend business unit boundaries. The mission is to expedite decision-making, identify key stakeholders, and offer central guidance on resource allocation to progress towards the Climate Pledge.

We are considering candidates for roles based in London, GBR.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience in utilizing data and metrics to steer improvements
  • Ownership of program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and reporting results to senior leadership
  • Background in program or project management
  • Knowledge in electrification and/or zero-carbon technologies for automotive/transport

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree or MBA in supply chain, business, engineering, finance, or related technical field
