Main purpose of the role:

Operating within the Talent Acquisition & Development Team of the People function at St.

James's Place (SJP), this operational role is responsible for supporting the Head of Culture & Engagement with the delivery of three key strategies from a People perspective - culture, engagement and wellbeing - as well as supporting the collaboration with Responsible Business (RB) & People colleagues on the fourth strategy - inclusion and diversity (I&D).


What you'll be doing:

  • You'll support the Head of Culture and Engagement to ensure that plans within the People strategy are aligned to SJP's cultural vision and values.
  • Support the implementation of businesswide culture change strategies/initiatives.
  • Support the measurement, evaluation and reporting on the effectiveness and impact of those strategies/initiatives.
  • Support the Head of Culture and Engagement in ensuring that any strategies/initiatives have been considered both from a Consumer Duty and RB perspective.
  • Support the development of strategies/initiatives to improve the engagement and experience of our existing colleagues, prospective joiners and alumni, and help implement programmes designed to achieve this for all.
  • Support the effective promotion and signposting of wellbeing services, events and information to employees, ensuring a consistent experience and equal access to all.
  • Support the delivery of our wellbeing strategy across all aspects (mental, physical and financial health) ensuring a focus on developing a positive wellbeing culture across the whole organisation.
  • Support the development and delivery of an agile, pragmatic, and actionable I&D plan from a People perspective.
  • Support the coordination of I&D data analytics and reporting to meet all compliance/regulatory requirements across the People function.

  • Experience of supporting wellbeing, cultural development and engagement and I&D initiatives, plans and priorities to support business strategy.
  • Experienced in using data to drive insight, aid decision making and measure success of initiatives.
  • You'll be highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and project deliverables effectively, keeping all stakeholders updated with progress against activities and initiatives.
  • You'll have strong communication skills and discretion to build trusting relationships and facilitate effective decision making.
  • You'll demonstrate high degrees of confidentiality given the sensitivity of business issues and conversations that you're likely to have exposure to.
  • You'll be a curious learner who scans the external environment to identify opportunities to improve our practice and plans.
