Royal Mail is looking to add a Head of Central Postal Control our Farringdon office.

You'll be managing a highly skilled team including Senior and Middle Managers who operate on a 24/7 365 days a year basis.

Develop and maintain a business continuity management programme which meets the demands of the Group BC Policy, Regulatory license conditions for Business Continuity, Operational Risk No5 and our top Customers.


  • Be the strategic interface with Highways England, influencing their ways of working to mitigate the impact on RM Operations
  • Work collaboratively with National Distribution on in time network control and operations, such as ad hoc supply, identifying savings opportunities etc.
  • Are able to make commercial decisions, often with limited information
  • Have an excellent understanding of the operational pipeline, particularly RMG road, rail and air operations
  • Have strong influencing and negotiation skills to gain senior leadership commitment
