Overview of the role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and driven Management Accountant to join our finance team here at Nightcap PLC.

As a Management Accountant, you will be a key contributor to our financial management process, providing critical insights, analysis, and reporting that support informed decision-making at both operational and strategic levels.

Your expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, variance analysis, and compliance will play a pivotal role in driving the financial success Nightcap.

This role is based at our London support office

Responsibilities:
Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Collaborate with department heads to gather financial data, analyse variances against budgets, and provide actionable recommendations.

Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, working closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals.

Perform cost analysis to identify areas for cost optimization, efficiency improvements, and profitability enhancement.
Monitor and review financial performance indicators, highlighting trends and deviations to the management team.
Analyse and report on key performance metrics, providing insights into business performance, revenue, expenses, and profitability.
Contribute to month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

Support the development and implementation of financial processes, internal controls, and procedures to maintain the integrity of financial data.

Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and assist in the preparation of audit schedules and financial statements.
Stay up-to-date with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends, and incorporate these updates into financial practices.
Provide financial guidance and support to cross-functional teams, assisting with ad hoc financial analysis and projects as required.

Skills / Experience Required:
Professional accounting qualification e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA or Equivalent
Proven experience as a Management Accountant or similar role, ideally within a complex organisation.
Strong knowledge of financial management principles, accounting standards, and financial reporting.
Proficiency in financial software and tools, including advanced Excel skills.
Experience with accounting software (e.g., Business Central dynamics 360) is a plus.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and generate insights.
