To be the Trusts expert source of information in relation to performance reporting rules, processes and supporting infrastructure.

Undertake highly complex analysis of performance data to identify benchmarked performance and trends, assessing where service improvement activity is required.

The preparation of complex performance information can involve simultaneously achieving conflicting deadlines. This frequently means multi-tasking over periods of intense and prolonged concentration.


Support the Director of Performance in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of a robust corporate performance management framework for the Trust, which is consistent with the Trusts strategic direction and business plan and actively promotes a culture of excellence.

This will include the development and implementation of effective reporting systems at all levels of the organisation in ways that support clear accountability and encourage achievement of all key targets whether externally or internally set.

Provide assurance, highlight any variances in performance and bring performance issues to the attention of the Director of Performance.

Integrate and report on different data sources to provide a holistic view of performance and activity levels for the Trust the post holder will work as the main link between all corporate departments.

Work with the clinical directorates to develop and improve performance reporting arrangements, and where applicable specific performance improvement work.

Research and advise on highly complex performance issues, providing high quality, comprehensive, strategic, and professional performance management advice, and support to the Trust.

This includes supporting work with external stakeholders on the wider health community performance agenda.

Ensure all external mandatory performance returns that are produced represent an accurate reflection of performance and meet timescales imposed, analysing, and interpreting the information where necessary.
