  • We are looking to appoint a Finance and Billing Lead to become part of our Finance Team at our central Leicester Head Office.


In this role, you will work using your own initiative to manage your workload, and be supporting senior leaders to implement processes effectively.

You will ensure that the billing team are supported and managed appropriately, to ensure that the finances of the business are always running smoothly.

The role forms a key partof the operational success of the finance team within Pick Everard.

The rolewill involve preparing billing schedules, posting bills onto the accountssystem, checking for compliance with VAT and other tax legislation and sendingbills out to clients.

The role will also include general duties such ashandling queries from the wider firm, reporting on basic time reports andliaising with self employed contractors on timesheets, invoices payable.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Centralising the current billing processes away from our teams into finance
  • Streamline client billing to reduce time taken to bill
  • Collect all information needed to calculate bills receivable (order amounts, discount rates etc.)
  • Check the data input in the accounting system to ensure accuracy of billing
  • Assist in onboarding new clients for billings
  • 60% will be posting bills and 40% will be management and process improvements

About You:

The successful Finance and Billing Lead will have demonstrated experience of
team management, change management and process improvement.


You will have a can-do attitude, and be willing to get involved with the day to day processes of our thriving finance department.


We are looking for an exceptional individual who is forward-thinking, dynamic and can drive forward new processes within the team and the wider business.


Key Requirements:

  • Experience working in a busy finance / billing department
  • Microsoft Excel and Word skills
  • Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Organisational skills; planning skills
  • Experience with process improvement, setting up billing workflows would be a distinct advantage
  • Experience with Access Dimensions would be a distinct advantage
