Advanced Clinical Practitioner Band 8a (Nurse or AHP)

Clinical Assessment Service

Full or part time hours available

The Clinical Assessment Service (CAS) performs a pivotal role in admission avoidance. Due to increased number and complexity of calls we are excited to be expanding our award winning service.

We are looking for Senior Urgent Care Practitioners to work within the service. You will be based in Beech House in Lincoln at the heart of Integrated Urgent and Emergency Division.

The service provides telephone and virtual clinical assessments to patients who have been assessed by 111 or other services in Lincolnshire.

It also provides advice to our clinical teams within Lincolnshire Community Health Services.

Although the role is based in Beech house there is an expectation that you may need to provide the service from other locations as requested.

The post will also include close liaison with the home visiting team and operation centre to provide higher level clinical support in hospital avoidance.

We are looking for people who can demonstrate the right values and behaviours, and have excellent leadership and communications skills.

You will be expected to provide leadership and clinical supervision to colleagues alongside other governance activities as detailed in the job description.

Telephone/Video consultations, offering advice and support to a wide variety of urgent care presentations over a 24 hour period.

If you fit this description, and have the motivations and flexibility to join this evolving service, this an excellent opportunity to join a highly skilled team to provide quality care.

Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust is in the top 25 per cent of all community trusts for overall staff engagementin the 2021 NHS National Staff Survey.

LCHS recognises the increasing demand for more flexibility in working practices in order to accommodate the personal goals and commitments that employees experience at different stages during their working lives.

Flexible working opportunities such as part-time working, compressed hours, job shares, and hybrid working models can help staff to balance their personal and work commitments.

Arrangements can be put in place if it can be shown that the needs of the individual can be balanced with those of the service and the impact on other team members, enabling the Trust to recruit and retain skilled staff, raise staff morale, reduce absenteeism and respond to changing service needs more effectively.

Telephone/Video consultation, offering advice and support to a wide variety of urgent care presentations over a 24 hour period.
