Job Summary
We are currently recruiting for a Transport Operator (Nights) to join our team in Cannock Depot. As a Transport Operator, you will be responsible for supporting the day to day transport operations.

Transport Operator Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the day to day operation runs smoothly in line with the daily Transport plan.
Ensure the plan suits the best cost option, whilst striving to exceed Customer
satisfaction targets of a minimum of 95%.

  • Conduct driver briefing and debriefing to a high standard, ensuring concerns and
issues are handled promptly and without any unreasonable delay.

  • Drive compliance through regular reviews, communication, and setting standards.
  • Continually monitor driver hours, tacho submission / downloads, infringements,
and paperwork.

  • Manage holidays, absence and customer requirements to fulfil their duties. Ensure
inefficiencies are handled appropriately in a timely manner, urgently escalate non
resolved issues to the Transport Manager or Assistant Transport Manager.

  • Provide prompt and effective communication to customers and meets agreed SOP's
or Customer SLA's.

  • Support engagement initiatives, by liaising with Drivers, listening and acting upon
viable suggestions, communicating effectively, and ensure two way respect.

Transport Operator Requirements:

  • Fargo Tops Transport System Knowledge
  • Professional with a can do attitude to make add value and make a difference
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • A minimum of three years transport operations experience with strong
organisational skills

  • Good geographical knowledge
  • A full understanding of Tachograph, working time and driver hours legislation
